Pain Relief

At Regenerative MD, our team are experts in the judicious use of cortisone, only applying it with careful consideration after our dual-consultation.

Our Last Line of Treatment – Cortisone

Cortisone injections are often overused yet not always the best fit for osteoarthritis and tendinopathy. While they may offer temporary pain relief, cortisone can have damaging effects, including cartilage destruction, bone erosion and tendon weakening. At Regenerative MD, we frequently encounter patients who have received unnecessary cortisone injections as a first line of treatment, often exacerbating their condition rather than improving it with regenerative therapies.

Acknowledging the potential harm tied to cortisone treatments, we ensure they are administered thoughtfully and responsibly, especially in situations where regenerative treatments may not yield the most favourable outcomes.
